Meshuggah air guitar.
Better than not being able to dance to it.

Actually I love watching people try and dance to this shit. Hilarity always ensues.

I don't get into any of their politics but I'm a big fan. I've been lucky enough to see them a few times and they're razor sharp live too.

I forgot who (without checking) but at least 1 person thinks Norma Jean belongs in this thread :idk:

Clearly our definitions differ.
I'd sooner mention non-Hot Topic-ky bands like Hurl, Nice Strong Arm & Unwound...
[B/S/T shoutouts] Shortlist: Hollow Earth|Ct5|856|Condor|Thermae|OP-1|half track reel2reel|Prophet6 ... :whoa:

Yeah that was me. Most of my stuff is more math metal based cause that's what I know.
In all fairness I stopped listening to them after that record as everything they did became pretty boring and by the numbers.
Also, at the time, in Oz at least that whole whatever"core" thing didn't have a name and wasn't played out yet. I listened to heaps of different heavy stuff back then and generally paid no attention to genre labels, so stuff that might get dumped in that bucket now flew under the radar then.
It's still a good listen. It's loud, abrasive, has plenty of odd grooves and time Sig changes and plenty of dischord. It's hard to dance to, so I think it qualifies.
School me on this hot topic thing.
I am literally clueless.
If I understand correctly it's a store, right?
Educate me, RUSTY!
