My wife was looking at all my pedals and started asking what it would take to get vocals through them. My search led me to start GASing for this

but there is no way I'm paying $300 just to run a mic through my stuff.

this is probably the cheapest, easiest solution

also u definately don't need any of this stuff to get it to work barebones. a simple XLR to 1/4" mono cable will do ya.
u might need to crank the gain up on your pedal / mixer, and u may experience some high end treble loss, but thats about it.
the sound will still travel.
