dream guitar?

a real deal 59 les paul burst. with a nice top.

it might happen someday dream guitar?

flying V (the 67 body not the shouldered 59)
2+ inch thick mohog
half inch flamed maple top and back
iced tea burst to match my les paul
double bound body / bound neck, headstock
les paul headstock
slotted headstock like you see on classical guitars with "banjo tuners" so theyre behind and out of the fucking way
alnico bridge humbucker no neck, fuck that shit
tiny mute switch no volume no tone (all volume all tone  )
24.75 scale
bubinga board
tune-o-matic
flats
set up for C

a decade ago I inquired with Gibson about making exactly that but with a "normal" les paul headstock not a slotted one

they quoted me 4.5K but I was about 700$ short so I put it on the back burner.

a year ago I re inquired, and was quoted 10K

should've fucking done it then FML.

I've always wondered about hollowing out an explorer and how it would sound. Imean, they are physically LARGE guitars. with a lot of area on the body. The Dean ML shape would be interesting too. I'm not talking acoustic here, but hollow body elec.

Obviously, I think it'd sound awesome. I like the Explorer body shape, but I also like light weight guitars.

Les Paul Jr. Doublecut body, ash
Ebony fretboard
Jaguar tremolo
Mastery bridge
GraphTech nut
Hot, custom wound P-90 at the bridge
Extra hot Tele pickup at the neck, hidden under the pickguard
Three knobs: Volume, Tone, and a three way rotary pickup selector
TV Yellow, of course
Mmmm....
My force of habit, I am an insect
I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact

Nothing fancy, just a really nice Les Paul - preferably black/gold or goldtop.

Something very close to this but replace the MM pickup for another split coil but reversed and add another split coil at the neck, also reversed.

Also, Hoyer-style 4001 but all mahogany construction, natural amber finish.

That first bass is fucking gorgeous, holy shit.

I just really want an alpine white Les Paul Custom.

This body
Image
With a warmoth neck - mahogony with ebony fretboard, jumbo frets, no frets markers, satin finish.
13s tuned to C# standard
Routed for humbuckers - Ibanez super 58s although i probably wouldn't be able to find a set and would have to take them out of my jet king. :grumpy:
US strat trem
Gotoh tuners

This would only cost me $1200

I'm so close.

My dream guitar would be a Telemaster with Esquire wiring. I'd like a Daphne blue with a brown tort guard, a shell pink or burgundy mist with a red tort guard, and a clear lucite w no guard.

Ashtray, Mastery bridge, string through body, maple neck, hot bridge pickup, likely a Lollar.
