I don't think you have to worry about them being worthless again. As long as tone lawyers have internet access, vintage American anything will have value.

Value doesn't worry me.

Vintage peavey stuff can be totally great. Regardless of what it was worth/will be in the future, they're only gonna get harder to find so if you gel with it there's no reason not to hit it.
I've never played a T60 (extremely hard to find in Australia and usually go for ~$700) but I own a T15 and it's probably my favourite guitar as far as build quality and sound goes, it's absolutely tiny but is fun as hell to play and sounds absolutely huge, deep and clear and ballsy. That's just the 'student' model below the T60, and it cost less than a Squier..

I had a 23-fret (stuff you can't make up) metal-era Predator with a factory Kahler. It was alright and $40.

I gave it away to a friend of mine a few years back, haven't really missed it.

It's not that I haven't tried them, just they were heavy and more expensive than they were worth once they hit $100 to me. YMMV.

Just can't love them. Most of it's an age thing I suspect.

i have a black toaster era model, its like the perfect guitar. both switches broke. i wired the replacement phase switch for coil tap on the bridge pickup, much more useful. my most versatile guitar. i used to play it in drop c into a beta lead with everything to 10 and it was heavy as fuck, but it can be downright w&p (lol) through a different amp

i have a natural t-40. you dont know the meaning of heavy.
