I said this earlier on reddit. The pog and hog incidentally sounded organesque while the organizer was intentional and relish in that.

EVERRRRRRRYTHINNNNNNNNNG. THEY STEAL MONEY FROM ORPHANS. THEY SALT FARMER'S LANDS. THEY MAKE GENGHIS KHAN LOOK LIKE A GENTLE, NON-RAPEY, HOLD YOUR DOOR FOR YOU GOOD TIME GENTLEMAN.

..... it's just personal opinion. i think they have okay ideas that they fuck up by doing something stupid in the design or implementation, when i was trying to like their stuff i think i had 7 different pedal types they made die a horrible ugly death on me so fuck their QC, they are butt ugly and sound like crap and need weird power supplies AND ARE HUGE AND I REALLY DON'T LIKE THAT THEY'RE THE BIG BOYS WITH LOADS OF MONEY THEY WASTE ON SHITS PRODUCT.

Well I agree about size. No argument there. I do find that a lot of their new stuff sounds way too digital and lacks warmth (ie: memory man with hazarai & cathedral), but they were small at one point back in the day. Should they have not grown given the opportunity? I cannot speak for any of the builders on the site but I would venture to guess that they wouldn't mind that level of success for growth & income. Years ago (early 90's) I worked for a small music store in nyc and Matthews used to come in in the dead of winter in shorts & a t-shirt to show us his new concepts, the guy was batshit wacky but nice enough and incredibly passionate about his creations. Always respected that about him. Just wish his stuff was more compact and still had the warmth of his earlier work.

meh. don't care about their size. it bums me out someone more innovative isn't in their place as Easily Obtainable Big Boi.

see.... i never talk the poo about Boss. they're even larger. but they build TANKS that are better thought out.

...... Freeze/Supra Egoist is pretty awesome though.

I, like many, don't care for anything EHX releases now days. They blew their entire load years ago with the v1 POG. That pedal is the shit fuck what anyone says.

I don't think most people have a problem with EHX getting big, it's that they seem to have gotten big and decided to hit coast and fuck off on their new stuff. If even half their new stuff was as innovative or awesome as their older stuff people would overlook it, but 90% of the time a new EHX release illicits a yawn or wince.

I'd blow a syphalitic hobo for one of every pedal a Montreal Assembly or Seppuku or any ILF builder made. But if you offered me one of every EHX pedal I'd consider it for a minute, and then I'd slap your mama.

I think this is one of those that could go wither way, like skully mentioned.
It has some great potential (especially if you get a decent leslie option thrown in, and you can dial in the leslie, and dial out the organ and vice versa, and the tracking is spot on), but realistically, I'm not holding high hopes.
The upshot of some EHX things these days though, is the sort hidden functions, the ones people find that the pedal isn't intended for.
Probably not a lot you can do with a bit of a pog and warble effect, though.

This might sound radsticks in the loop of say, a superego though...????

Yeah but even the freeze was flawed when released. No momentary/soft touch stomp made it hard to be accurate, and the power supply filtering was abysmal, introducing all sorts of noise into a signal chain.

That's why ehx annoys me - it's like they get 85% of the way through the design process then just release shit regardless. And I'm not even going to mention their ah... "Visual identity"...
