I was tempted. :excellent:
That's what she said.

That color is sick. Can't wait to see finished pics + hear demos with that wiring setup.
I'll be sure to. I've been playing in DADFAD a lot lately, which is a relatively unexplored tuning. Open D minor. Everything I've been playing with it sounds good if not really bummy. Minor and major chords are exceedingly easy, minor scales are a breeze, and all sorts of weird chords and patterns are opened up. Any fret barred across the neck becomes a minor chord, and if you add a semitone higher on the F string, it becomes a major chord. It makes sense in theory, too, having the DAD from drop D on the bass strings and the FAD from D standard on the treble strings. It's pretty easy to adapt to. I'll have to show what that's like, with this guitar. I kinda designed it expressly with the idea of playing moody pissy stuff in mind.

Binding and sanding done, refret and refinish are up next.

Frets and finish are done, clear coat comes next. A nice vintage-style amber tint, and the binding looks a little aged now.

finish stripped from binding because it started to yellow a bit much.

Almost done. All that's left is for him to wire in the jag switchplate, route a body pocket for it, and reassemble. Pics of the finished guitar coming as soon as I get them.

I think he did a great job. That's what she said.

Almost done. He just has to route a channel in the body for the jag stuff, wire in the switches, fabricate a brass nut, and reassemble. He also wants to strip the gold finish from the roller trees I got, since I guess I ordered them in gold and it mismatches.
