Well Trent used it in his live version of Reptile with Peter Murphy. I specifically asked Justin about this one.

Damn son. That bass sounds killer.

This wait is getting harder.

Also, I think I accidentally like Nine Inch Nails now. I didn't hate them before or anything. Its sort of that thing where I write a band off based on their fan base. Like Tool or Slipknot. Well, Slipknot based on their whole image. The point is, I should stop.

Dude you gotta remember where Nine Inch Nails came from. If it wasn't for Ministry dude would probably still be playing clubs. Al helped him by giving him a voice in 10,000 Homo DJ's. That's old school shit bro. OLD SCHOOL. Now I can understand why hardcore fans wouldn't like some of his new material. It's pop rock in a sense, instead of industrial where his roots were. I think Trent adjusted as he stopped drugging. Not a horrible thing.

it still has an edge to it though. I mean, he's older now. You can't expect a dude his age to want to scream and thrash like he used to. I had The Downward Spiral and Pretty Hate Machine back in the day. I guess I just sort of left them behind when I got into all my abrasive noise rock, hardcore, and punk stuff. Definitely gonna revisit it now.

The Slip has really awesome fuzz textures all over it. Really fun record.

Is anyone using the depth charge for heavier stuff? I know the bass tone on The Ocean by Against Me! is a DC but I want to hear it used in doom or heavy hardcore or something.

Thats sort of what Im hoping to do with it. I dont know of any recorded stuff like that with the Depth Charge though. Although, excanes demo vid with the b3k + depth charge is pretty heavy. Its a full mix demo iirc.

Heavy truth right here. The DC is tiiiiiiight. It really did remind me more of a superfuzz than a Brassmaster, because it gets really white-noise-y sometimes. And, the blend allows it to work nicely with other pedals really well. I loved it for big, overwhelming chords on guitar. Also, Munky from Korn used one, I think. I actually really enjoy Korn's tastes in fuzz.

Does it handle fast runs and staccato stuff well? Most of what I play alternates between pretty fast stuff and big heavy chords. On bass, of course.

Got my Depth Charge in today! I need more time to play with settings, but it didnt play as well with my mini as I would have liked. Not yet, at least. When I have more than 10 minutes to mess with it, Im sure itll be good. I'll try to post clips at some point soon.
