Nice. The Goatkeeper is by far the best tremolo pedal ever made.

Wanted to add a couple details. Awhile back Austin posted some different switch configurations on FB to find out what ppl preferred and he mentioned a couple things:

1. Older GK3s can be retrofitted with the preset mod, he just has to add a switch and perform a firmware update.

2. He's not doing another full run of GK3s. He just had some spare and blem enclosures around so get 'em while they're still around. Not sure if a GK4 is in the works or not.

I think I may need to buy one of this run. Wanted a painted enclosure [I know, doesn't really matter], but missed out on those.

I swear he was working on a new Goatkeeper. Wasn't there something about this like over a year ago or more?

At any rate. Goatkeeper 3 is amazing.

That kind of sucks. I would hate to buy this only to find out a better is released in a few months. Unless devious things can be accomplished with 2 of course.

After the addition of the preset mod I can't see how a new Goatkeeper could be any better than a GK3. The lack of preset saving is the only gripe I've ever had with mine.

Well, I have some email contact with Austin and he's speaking about "If I ever do a GK4", so it seems there's nothing along the likes in the pipeline yet.
Also, he's building the GK3 from the end of 2010 / beginning of 2011 on and now in 2014 he has come up with this preset mod for the remaining stock of GK3's he still has left, so I really wouldn't expect anything else anytime soon.

Looks like it's down to just one of the bare metal ones left. I succumbed to my Goatkeeper lust and bought one last night even though I've been trying not to buy any new gear lately. I briefly owned a GK2 and sold it for some stupid reason, so buying one of these seemed like the right thing to do. ;)

What's the point in working to buy nice stuff if I can't even get it because I have to work?

Looks like they're all gone.

Not sure if my not-buying one is a triumph or a fail. :idk:

There'll be another batch of blems and alt-colours in a month or two according to the Lightfoot Labs facebook page.

Mine is waiting for me at the post office, going to pick it up shortly. :joy:
