Goodbye24 is by far my favorite fun pedal with bass. Set it to octave up reverse maximum time medium repeats. On guitar the octave ups get too high right away but with bass they get nicely degraded up high but are this really cool lo bitrate tone on the first octave up repeat mmmmmm also really cool for making rythmic parts that feel really unique

I had a Superego and acutally preferred the freeze but I dont think that's an opinion most people have. The Superego made me feel less creative when playing which is the opposite of why I like pedals

I always thought the eqd sea machine would fit well in a noise rock context. Squarewave chorus -> overdrive is baller.

Exactly, you get SO much out of this pedal, besides Pitch Shifting,Harmonies,Arpeggios, there is delay, micro pitch shifting which is like a chorus but better (less cheesy). With the 2nd Voice and expression control over both you can create symphonies by yourself. FUN.

Interesting. Using it in realtime with guitar or bass, I can see that. It inspired me to play less guitar and more pedal. But the Superego did promote creativity after freezing a rhythmic drone from a fuzz, then putting down the guitar and manipulating knobs on pedals in the loop; Misty Cave,
Goodbye24, IC Muff, Jaywalking, Cosmichorus, Tremolessence, phase-O-matic, Small Stone etc. Great way to really explore some of the far reaches in those more experimental effects.
Having said that, my Superego was sold (last weekend) to help fund a v1 Fuzzrite...because there will be plenty of other Superegos floating around, but few v1 Fuzzrites.

That's almost exactly what I do with my Superego, except I loop it a bunch too. I usually freeze a base chord and loop it for a couple seconds. Then I do the same with a bunch of octaves/fifths/whatevers of the base chord. Then I freeze some kind of rhythmic drone and just tweak knobs. I almost play it the exact same way I play my Drone Commander. I've really wanted to experiment by throwing my Pitch Bay and Arpanoid into the loop of the Superego but haven't gotten the chance yet...and now I really want to experiment with some trem....

Hunt down a trem with a control for pulse width (like the dr sci tremolessence)... that way between the pulse width and rate controls you can fine tune the "delay time" for your raptio effect

how similar are the Goodbye 24 and the MASF Possessed? Sounds like they may cover similar territory. Would getting one make the other redundant?
Also, how "tameable" is it? If I make a crazy awesome rhythmic arpeggio pattern thing, would I be able to easily recreate it?
