I'm gonna put one of these together, with both Power and Clean Machine (on individual stomps). The CM will be first so you can ram the Boost with it. (As edkoppel said, "running other fuzzes into it is where the magic happens.") You got dibs.

I sent him a message offering a free build for good gut shots of the Select and Power, or at least to confirm the values. Got no response

You're the reason I believe in love.

He responded to this thread soon after it was made, and I can see he read my PM here, so...

sorry man, I was on vacation and forgot to respond.
pm incoming.

Ed, I think you're probably forgiven.
I hope you had a good vacation.

Yes indeed he is! Unfortunately, the Select-a-fuzz board seems to be stuck. Still waiting on him to get back to me on the Power Machine (no worries, he's a busy guy).

Geez, I've been looking for a decent board shot (or schematic) of the Select-a-fuzz for a long time. Lots of trace side shots, but no component pics. Mega Sadness.

Dino, you should PM Ed either here or on the D*A*M forum.

Sent a PM, but if this "Ed" is the same as the one over at the "Tone Machines" blog, then I think it's a no go. I posted a request over at TM for a component side shot, a while back, but I was told that he was unwilling to remove the board for a picture.

Yes, that Ed is one and the same.

I can check to see if I still have my brief messages with him. The board is mounted in a way that fear of damage was a concern I think.

If I remember correctly, it was the reason that was stated.
Shame. Doesn't look as bad as a PLL.

I kind of understand his logic. Some people have all thumbs when it comes to dismantling things. Not saying that's the case here. Or could be that the wiring is fragile and wires can break away from the board or switches if you just look at them funny. I had a problem like that with a Guyatone micro trem. So frustrating. Just trying to repair that broken wire I ended up breaking more shit of it. I ended up throwing the lot in to my spare parts box and buying another trem pedal. Different one this time. Some things are just better left alone.

As posted over at DAM forum...

Let me ask you guys...
is it because I have always freely posted detailed gut shots of most of the super rare pedals I have, that you just expect me to do the same with the rest of them?
I'll be 100% honest, I was asked by the 2 other known owners of this fuzz not to post gut shots online.
I decided to respect their requests since I'm not out to be an asshole and just do whatever I want.
As for now, until someone else comes forward, let's just leave this one a mystery. :badteeth:
And
THAT'S the ball game. Guess I'll go back to patiently waiting for the first Rand-o-matic prototype PCB to show up.
Or maybe I should keep that one a mystery too.

What's the point in keeping a rare and out of production circuit hidden though?
