Also, the more I hear this pedal, the more it makes me think I could do the same thing with a snare drum in the same room as the cab.

Pretty sure if I get a Sandstorm, I'm not gonna flip it.

Yeah, you probably could do it with a snare, but it'd be a slightly more complex set up. Not really plug & play.
