Used to pick up some Christian radio talk show all the time when I was using a Peavey TNT 100. Other than that, I don't have much to add to this thread. :idk:

When I lived in nj my zvex lo fi loop junky in conjunction with a zvex octane 3 would pick up japenese radio. We used to get stoned and loop the funny jap commercials.

hey guys, what the hell is this noise? it's a high end noise, you can hear it if you listen closely
only when i play that last note

mic is an at4050 large diaph condenser, cardiod pattern selected, -10db pad engaged

noise gets louder when i play louder, but only on some notes...

first i thought it was the speaker, but the other mic didnt pic up on the noise

so im thinking maybe the speaker is too hot for the mic, something inside the mic is moving... not good

OR it could be the shockmount of the 4050 rattling when shit gets real loud

this noise sound like anything you guys have heard before? thanks

Just cause someone stuck a three prong outlet in the box doesn't mean it's actually grounded. I've seen this a lot in old houses. Someone at some point just replaced an old outlet with a three prong one so that they could plug in three prong cords. But the ground isn't necessarily hooked to anything. You'd actually have to replace the wiring in the walls to get it grounded. Get a plug in outlet tester for a few bucks at any hardware store and find out.

Word to this. I've looked at so many places full of secret knob and tube where they've just thrown a new panel on and attached the shitty wiring back up and called it "upgraded electrical". Or if they're really clever they put new wiring in at the panel and then spliced the old wiring to it under the floorboards.....
