DOD fx32 meat box. sub-harmonic generator, not just a -1 or -2 octave but truly speaker blowing madness with settings for 30hz and 60hz. makes the cheapest synths sound HUGE.
Got my A machines on the table, got my B machines in a drawer.

+1

I've had one for a while and love it. Big plus is the dry out. I like to use the dry out in my regular guitar chain and run the wet signal to a bass amp. HUGE soundz!
:joy: things to do, things to re-do :omg:

Fun topic...

I'd say the Boss ODB-3... It's an excellent Harsh Noise pedal, and it seems many recognize it as such, but it still doesn't receive as much attention as "Noise standards" like the Metal Zone, Death Metal, Grunge, Metal Muff, etc.

Ibanez FZ-7... I really like this pedal... It's kind of noisy, but it's got a really great, "dry" and raspy fuzz tone that seems pretty unique... Not bad for "Garage-y" stuff)...

Danelectro Black Coffee... This + Cheap practice amp + microphone = instant BROOTALNESS on the cheap.

Danelectro Fish & Chips... CHEAP EQ... It works, and I paid something like 25-30... My first mini, and it's still going.

The DOD Grind SUCKS for Noise, IMO, but it sounds kind of cool on guitar... Not worth more than 40 bucks or anything, though.

HEY! Mind sharing what trim pot adjustments you made to your FX75-B?

I'm seeing a pattern with the DODs here. Must look into it.

I am not really "into" brandname-whoring, (and I'm sure-as-fuck not doing it here) but all the DOD pedals most people hate make for great Noise pedals, and are, in fact, hugely popular/sought by a lot of "Noise peeps".

DOD Buzz Box
DOD Meat Box
DOD Envelope Filter
DOD Corrosion
DOD Metal Maniac
DOD Thrash Master
DOD Grunge
DOD Death Metal
DOD Punkifier
*ad nauseam*

But EVERYONE hates The Gonkulator

I seriously need to try out a Punkifier... The Fuzz/Dist. blend knob sounds so coooooooollll. I've heard good things about it.

i love the blue box, I traded a blue box and a vfm for a pollyanna and I will forever regret that decision. The Blue Box is my favorite non-devi pedal, hand down. I just want a buzz box too.

Anyone tried the DOD supra distortion? The Toyota Supra is my favorite import tuner car.....and it'd be cool to have a supra distortion.....if it sounds good.

DOD's? IDK... They have a ton of different overdrive pedals. I think it depends on how you're using them, I s'pose.

Yes, but Buzz had nothing to do with it other than speaking with someone from DOD about how he got his sound, and them making a schematic from his pedal and naming it after him (He claims to have completely hated it, haha).

The Buzz Box is probably the most unmusical pedal ever put on the "mainstream" pedal market: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8BWN6Hr ... re=related

The Buzz Box is pretty far-removed from the original Blue Box, I think... But it's still cool-sounding IMO (that video may ot be the best demo ever)... Not that I'd ever pay the collector's prices (same goes for the Alesis Bitrman.... *sigh*) I'd love to have both, really... But fuck paying $200 for shit...

Oh yeah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7KyYGOqTnE
haha... IDK about stock, but that shit sounds cool after being bent...

Funny story about the supra distortion, one day a couple months ago I was reading the harmony-central reviews of it and I came across one that said something like "I used to use this and my peavey practice amp to sound exactly like the song Glycerine by Bush" and I had to check to see if I wrote it and forgot about it because that was the most redeeming quality of this pedal when it was the 3rd pedal I ever bought. BTW I still have it, but rarely play it, I think of it more as a My First Distortion Pedal, not that you can't get a good sound out of it, but it never gave me a sound to get excited about.

McSpunckle wrote:Imma add the Ibanez Metal Screamer-- dunno how it works when you use it like you use a real Tube Screamer, but it's pretty bitchin' as a bass distortion! I use it for ligher overdrives on guitar, too (but I play guitar through my bass amp).

I've got a Metal Charger that I think is probably pretty close, the model number is MS10 so I am thinking MS originally stood for Metal Screamer.

Picked up one of those cheap Artec analog delays on eBay based on starcastic's recommendation. Can't wait for it to get here.
