i think maybe what you might need is a pedal which gives you control over resonance (intensity of the filter) and sensitivity (how much your attack affects the filter)

Filters which i have used and like:
Xero Deluxe. has resonance and sensitivity controls. good for dialing out harsh peaks or murky lows. has individual clean and filter volume controls, very useful to blend the mix. i like the sound and versatility of this filter very much. only other filter i know with this feature set in this size is the proton.
Prometheus. i use this pedal almost exclusively for the step function and the Xero for envelope/dub bass type stuff. the step filter on this is great. wish it had tap or sync. fuzz + step filter + delay = :!!!:

Filters which i have not used but would recommend based on what i've read and heard online:
WMD Fatman.
3Leaf Wonderlove or Proton
Xotic Robotalk

Filterbank is great for a lot of things. Not sounding "harsh" or with a hard peak is not really in it's wheelhouse. I think someone else said moog envelope filter…I'd say that is worth checking out. It's got some overlap with the Q-Tron, but really has it's own character. Not as much quack.

The Xerograph is super cool, has all the control to dial out spikyness or go crazy. Gotta say from that demo the funkzilla looks pretty good.

Ok Xero Deluxe if I can find one and I'll keep the Proteus for the step thing.

Thanks! :omg:

I'm interested in the Mojo Hand, Solid Gold fx, and Gigahearts fx. I feel like we are kind of looking for similar things in filter pedals. And those seems to offer the most useful controls. Also waiting for news from ss/bs again on that filter

Is the Mojo Hand filter lowpass or bandpass?
