Exactly! I did the same thing.

I'd honestly drop $325 on the board and case combo without even feeling irresponsible. Too bad that's only like 40% of the total cost if your talking a med-large size board. :(

Chank and his hyperbole... I was just over the other week and you only had 5.
One for each Klon.

Honestly I don't see the point of these boards. I either want something road worthy that is light strong and beatupable, or something more appropriate for home use, like a bedroom board or something. This is kinda somewhere in the middle. But cool for people who want that. Whoever they are. Moar choice is moar good.

I think there is some beach combing in my future. I'd like to start using more recycled materials in my little projects.

Find some recycled metal to use for extra points.

what a wonderful idea!
Where is that duder btw?

@Schnikes: wow, what a nice board. Totally droolworthy!
But like Donny said, that is too hot to be handled like gear. That is more a furniture thing though. :idk:
Awesome.

Agreed, def like furniture or functional art. I hear that comparison about Emperor cabs a lot too but I think they're perfectly road worthy with a padded cover.

That said, I won't be dropping $650-$780 on any of these fancy boards. Just lusting out loud here. :)

On a second Note i'm a bit disappointed that they use velcro. A nicer thing like the shag in bedroom boards would be more appropiate.

Shag def rules!

Velcro is kinda necessary on these to hold everything in place when you fold it into the suitcase lid. Pedals would go everywhere when closing/transporting unless you abandoned the handle and just lugged it level all the time.

Here's a quick vid demonstrating use of their suitcase design:

Salvage makes gorgeous stuff, but it seems like the prices just keep going up an up and up and up. West Coast Pedal Boards is also doing some great work.
