I found a picture of a sunburst version of the red one. Though the bursts are different it kind of offers a slightly different, more of an apples-to-apples perspective.
Further thoughts?

I think a mashup between the two would be cool! Definitely keep the offset waist of the first one though.

I am partial to the 'classics', especially when equipped with a whammy!

Both are pretty cool looking axe's. :thumb:

This.

I love semi hollows but I really like the deep carve on the edges of the brown. They're distinct from one another, I say give birth to both.

The thought of doing both had crossed my mind but I'm not sure they're different enough to do both.....
Though that's coming from the guy who offers the Coquette and socialite.
Hahaha!

still like #1 better :idk: shape has a bit more flow. Also you can tell from where the bridge is it is bigger and even though you tend to make really small guitars the idea of one with a bigger [maybe :hobbes: :hobbes: :hobbes: :hobbes: ] body is appealing to those of us that are over 6' tall, just say'n :idk:

yeah, if you combine the treble side lower bout of the guitar on the left with the bass side lower bout of the guitar on the right, you'd have a really wide lower bout.

Like the sunburst better than the red. Red has a nice offset waist and nice outline, but I don't like the pickguard and control plate. The sunburst comes off better. I like the pickguard on the brown, but I think I may like the barer look of the sunburst better.

Speaking of guitar sizes the new/forthcoming Riddle model is 15.5" wide. ;-)
The one on the left is 14" at the widest point. I'd have to check my notes to see how wide the one on the left is but it is probably just a tad smaller.

If I did do both I'd probably keep the shape of the one on the left intact and have that be the guitar to appeal to fender crowd.
If I then did the one on the right I'd make that one to appeal to the sg crowd but it would have to be modified somewhat to delineate it from the other one.

you're going to have to make some gold foil pickups. :)

Post the neck/headstock pics and I'll tell you with confidence.

But from this half-picture it's looking like my choice would be red body+brown neck. No idea about the headstock...
Brown body is like an optical illusion...it looks offset but isn't.

Yeah the brown one has that crazy deep carving and the slight slant on the bottom that makes it look offset.
Headstock doesn't matter because if I made the guitar it would have the Nelson headstock.
A "standard" model would just get dot inlays but there can always be a fancier version.

The right one is tasty, and it looks like it has more Nelsonismo.

Red one for sure. I'd play the crap outta that.
