I would have fun with it.
Find a builder you're happy with and who will follow instructions.
"Make me something in this, not a clean boost, please (or whatever you don't want), surprise me. Anything goes, can have internal trimpots, just no external mods. Go!"

I'd take anything Thom or Bri/bri or Aen could make in an all purple 1590bb sans controls, trim pots be damned...

Oh snap, you could make a bunch of different styles and velcro them stacked and have an ILF 500 series Lunch Box...

my outsound fm2 is knobless.
and all the pot shafts broke off both my rust boosters, so they're always dimed.
I wanted my bluebeard sans knobs, but that's not how sonny rolls.

John wrote:Are there any no-knob pedals of note? I have a vintage footswitch in a large enclosure and I'd like to build or rehouse something in there without modifying the enclosure, therefor a knob is no-go. All I can think of is a clean boost at a preordained amount. There are 2 switches on it so I could actually put two boosts in one, but I am not a big clean boost kinda guy so I'm looking for other ideas. Thanks!
Henretta Engineering's stuff is all knobless, they make a bunch of vintage type circuits, I have a purple octopus, it's a octavia type fuzz and I love the thing, you really don't need knobs for that effect, just set it full out and do the rest with play'n and guitarknobz use.

I definitely wan this to be a thing.
Like an annual thing.
Have the bulders on this site be in charge of making a new no knob box every year. People would sign up on a list with a cutoff point, and then build for demand. It would be cool cause every year it would be different, different builder and different stomp boxes. Fuzzes, phasers, weird fucked up noisemakers. It could be so boss!
