Pearl Octaver with Madbean's Lowrider board. The three knobs that are the same are maybe the only cool thing radio shack supplies. They only had three, though

This is amazing! Really digging the aesthetic of this one

For a heavy fuzz, it kinda slays everything else. Very textual and rich sounding. All of the controls are useful and you can get a good range of sounds. I kinda don't need to build another fuzz...
Good man

I had someone email me not too long ago asking if I'd build them one and I told them the same.
Yea, he probably makes decent money from those sales and its a cool as company. I'm surprised there aren't lame companies cloning these. Although its a YAFF (at least the core), he really did some interesting things to the circuit.

Yea, yet another fuzz face. But that's just the front end, what he added after that for the tone shaping and extra goodness makes it sound like a fuzz on steroids!

Maestro Filter Sample and Hold finished this last week. The two I made for Kosta sound better most likely due to the fact that I have found the best noise transistor to give a good range of sweep for the Sample and Hold function. Used a burr brown op amp for the sample and hold side and it sounds pretty sweet. Maybe someday ill do a run of these but it's a tough build but getting easier each new time. The filter is pretty insane with the mods. Ill need to do another vid soon..

I love this thread! For some reason, though I keep thinking about this:

That's some neat wiring on that sample and hold considering how many wires are running around in there. Are those shrink-wrap tubes over the wires?

Yes, my cartmanland!
Yea, its a shitload of wires with the board I'm using. I have another board from madbean that allows for board mounted pots which will be easier. I need to do a run of these as they are just as weird and probably weirder than the Gristleizer. Can get some nice strangulated filter sounds pumping it into fuzz.
Yea, I just started using heat shrink for wires. Easier than zip ties and just looks cleaner.

I think I will do it. There's some critical parts to be figured out. It's a real particular circuit. But one of my favs right now, so a small run should be done...

I'd sure love to have an Out Sound Harmonic Percolator...

I wonder what that trimpot is for.
