To be doubly-tricky, sand down some fried op amps and metal cans to put under the goop.

Wrap all that up in a plexiglass enclosure. Y'know. For transparency.

Obviously it turns into a Crystal Lattice, where we all know electrons can't survive...

I don't think it's even that much. From what I understand, they run the pedal through some part of the circuitry of an analog delay, but there's no audible delay. I could be wrong about that.

Soul Food stacked with Analogizer.

Woot!

Yep. It's a a slapback delay with a hefty boost on it and a clean blend. Delay sounds like it has some substantial treble roll off. Sorry, I mean, warmth.

i bet the delayed signal is more for the HAAS effect, than an actual "delay" effect

http://www.mixcoach.com/creating-depth- ... -effect-2/

basically, if u take a signal and make a copy and delay the copy by a very very small amount. the resulting sound can sound more spacious/open. its a method that ppl use to create pseudo stereo fields with mono recording.

Yep! It's like 30-60 ms delay. It's the "spread" control.

That magic 3.5ms-10ms delay range is where the action is...

If that's what the circuit is, I think the problem is really with the name and marketing, not the application. In mixing I use a parallel blend of saturation/dirt/compression and super-quick, early reflection style reverbs/delays all of the time. Something like this, done well, would be a handy thing to have access to. What's confusing about it is why it's in pedal form, but I suppose you could use it as general en-thickener for guitar solos or keyboards. It would be nice to use as an outboard effects insert, but I don't think it's line level so that wouldn't be very convenient.

I guess I don't understand who this is for either.
