Came to post exactly that ^
The ILFDD and the Hazarai are also top notch.
from what i've heard, the ILFDD might be awesome as well
I would probably not recommend the Hazarai though... it can do a lot, but it sounds a bit "cold" or "precise", similarly to the DL4 maybe? It doesn't have that mushy quality of the rest, it's more about special effects (those Bloc Party tones)... it can pull off some extremely awesome tones, but might not be what the OP is looking for
don't forget about the Cavedweller option i mentioned, worth at least taking a look

I stole my brothers SMM w/H and I haven't really clicked with it yet. I find the looper too be unintuitive so far and I don't love much about it. I guess I gotta give it more tome, esp since it was free.....

I've had the RE-20 for a few years and it's pretty cool.
I'm not sure what else to say

My two cents: im not a huge fan of delays. Before this year, i used very little delay. The only delay that i liked was a Univox ec-80, mostly for the tone coloration. i sold that a few years ago. A few weeks ago i picked up a used catalinbread belle epoch 4 teh mad cheepz, totally changed my mind on delays. Very inspirational. Very impressed. Its got me looking hard at the echorec. And ive been looking at the EAR delay for along time too. Theyre just priced alitte too high for someone that doesnt dig delay so much.

What was it about the Belle Epoch that made you feel differently?

ILF-DD is truly awesome and might be exactly the right sort of thing. Pretty straightforward access to fricking sweet sounds that are useful for basic psychedelic-ish use. The pushed fidelity sounds sweet, the modulation can do subtle or melting clocks, and the momentary oscillation switch beats the hell out of crouching to grab the regeneration knob while playing, and works at least as well. Downsides are that there's only a handful and you'd have to see if anyone is flipping them in BST. Cold dead hands on mine.
You could see about DIY-ing a 1776 Multiplex or Multiplex Jr. or getting someone to build one for you. Lots of folks could do that, but I know Laowiz has hooked a bunch of guys up around here and done a beautiful job on the graphics.

I hate to do this since I'm selling one on the B/S/T but the ILF DD really is great. Super easy to use, sounds awesome. I find the momentary self-osc. switch is very useable and convenient. There's a reason I had the Sunny Day Delay for 4 years before I upgraded

The preamp and the modulation. The way the delay seems to be one with the signal not just another layered effect/ sits on top of or below the signal. You can get some really nice dirty repeats. The modulation is random and very tape like. Alot of modulation on most delays are very exact and timed, like you can play along with the timeing of the modulation. I dont like that. and the buffer/tb switch is nice. I like tape delays but i dont like failures, constant replacing of parts, and the price tag. This is the next best thing.

Thanks for the replies so far. Mongo not smart, but trys to learn.
What about the Zero Point Delay and the Multiplex builds? Gigahearts had a couple for sale recently in B/S/T, they looked interesting but when I see a delay with no way to tailor the tone, mix etc, I start having doubts. I don't wanna make a dumb decision (for my tastes) since this stuff is spendy.

That sounds really good... pretty much what I want.

Get one mannn. Its worth every dollar. Plus if its the end of your chain, dat buffer is a plus.
Im still on the hunt for a roland space echo but the catalinbread belle echo(and echorec soon) appease my needs until the next revolutionary tape modeling ped comes along
For those considering an infanem SEA, why? Catalinbread echorec seems to blow it out the water in every aspect. Whats to consider?

Please elaborate, I've found the sea pretty great with a wide palette. Have you done a side by side? That would be great if you'd post a clip of the two. Shortly I'll have my binson echorec 2 from the shop

Its pretty obvious from a read of the thread that i have not played either. Its also more directed towards the common folk here that have to consider purchases because most of us are not rolling in dough like that. If we were all UG, there would be no need to consider at all. We would just buy everything then spam the fuck outta some peoples favorite web hangout.
Ive watched demos of both(well i watched only your demos of the sea) and in features, tone, and size, catalinbread is a clear winner. But tone is subjective. What im asking is why are you(not UG) considering it over another fairly new multihead delay? Im curious to hear why is all.

There seems to be a lot of people here who I'd say were jealous of UG if I didn't know any better
