not just redundant, he was such an ass kisser to those people it was pathetic, and he would totally fuck over sharing door take w/ the locals to pocket some for himself and give them as much as he could beyond that. that scenario made me kinda hate them even though i should've just been hating him.

Constellation got some nice weirdness available...and godspeed
I just got a package from Thrill Jockey and they were great to deal with. Pontiak, Wooden shjips, Human bell, Date palms, Arboretum, Barn Owl. Lots of pshyc and ambient.
Anyone order form Hydra head lately? I bought a bunch when they were talking about folding last year, but are they still reliable?
I forgot Temporary Residence, lots of post rockish stuff. Young Widows.

Yeah Hydrahead is still around, they're just operating on a much smaller scale than before--repressing the classics, mostly. They put up their whole discography on bandcamp.

How small is small?
Hydrahead, Dark Descent, Northern Silence, Deathwish, Gilead, Profound Lore, Southern Lord.
digdugDIY is going on this list too what with those albums from Hooded Menace, The Archaeologist, IV the Polymath, etc.
Probably a bunch more I'm forgetting.

Def Jux, Touch & Go / Quarterstick, Dischord, and K Recs shaped my taste in music.
I used to really like Polyvinyl, but i don't follow them so much anymore.

Are matador and merge and subpop considered small?
Cuz theyre like the majors of indie lables, no?
Slumberland's a fuckin classic.
Shelflife's really cool.
Was that spaceboi that said french kiss?
Do creation and 4AD from the 90s count as small?
Simple machines had some good stuff.
There's another one I can't remember that are winners in my book based on a pavement cover album and a synthpop cover of pop goes the world. Dirty little angels or something.

Do I assume Warp is too big to be considered "small"? How about Sub-pop (before they sold out to Warner)? Just a couple obvious ones that I feel like should always be mentioned when it comes to indy labels.
