I want to feed it synth'd guitar (bsy600, superego, ebow, anything sustained) and get a nice, quick and shallow yet distinct, very analogue-sounding warble. Obviously I'd like the pedal to do more than this, but that's specifically what I'm looking for
The black cat looks promising. Expression pedal control is always a plus. Dat price though... if I wanted to spend $300 I would go for a warped vinyl.
funnily enough

for the first part of the radiohead i'd try a phaser with the res up.
with max res and faster speeds you get exactly that kind of filtery tremolo
hey tristan, did you also try the vfe choral reef at all?
or the greenhouse effects chorus, with that one i was wondering how well the volume balances in both chorus and vibrato modes, there doesn't seem to be any way to adjust it

It's a great vibrato! You have to run it at 12 volts otherwise it distorts a fair bit. Not much headroom.

I did try the VFE Choral Reef, while I think Peter is a great guy I really really didn't like that pedal at all, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Small Clone it's said to be based on because it sounds much thinner in my opinion.
The Greenhouse Effects I didn't get to try unfortunately but eventually I just gave up on trying to find a good chorus / vibrato pedal really, the only one that really does both very well for me is the Boss CE-1, as for the others most of the time the vibrato is just too seasick sounding in my opinion.
For me the Black Cat Vibe, MG Vibe and VFE Enterprise make a nicer vibrato sound than most chorus / vibrato pedals anyway.
Forgot about the Malekko Vibrato, that one sounded quite nice I thought.
