It's aiiight. What you were saying was what was confusing me last night when I was up too late and couldn't think straight anyways. I wish I could just flip the damn thing and get a head with the money, then I could just buy whatever cab....

I disagree quite a bit. There is loads of differnce in tone between a closed back, open back or ported cab and a lot of tuning goes into ported cabs, a hell of a lot actually.

Plus there is bracing to consider(more bracing equals tighter tone) and even the wood types(mdf is heavy and acoustically transparent, birch is warmer and deeper, pine has a softer lowend response). Plus since he is playing pretty deep, which can push cabs quite a lot.

I will agree that no one can here the differnce between 9 ply and 13 ply but the other stuff is very important.

Honestly you might as deep as you are playing. You might be taxing a normal guitar cab but it would be fairly easy on a bass cab.
