its funny that this thread came back because i'm considering getting another Supa Puss right now. i miss it, but part of me thinks that i should give something else a try first.
the never-ending delay journey continues...

wish there were more (affordable) delays out there w/ tap tempo, trails, and soft switches...

I got one when they came out and had to send it back to get the volume drop fixed. It takes a while to get the hang of it compared to your standard digital delay since changing the Tone or Gain will affect both the Mix and Feedback. I went from someone who used delays set to 50% wet in the effects loop to a delay before dirt person who had to set the Mix control by ear because of this pedal and my determination to make it sound good with distortion. It's nothing against this pedal, since I think the repeats die off too quickly and are always too quiet when any delay in an effects loop is hit with a distorted signal. As far as analog delays go, it has externally controllable modulation, can be bright or dark sounding, and can have gritty sounding repeats. When used with an expression pedal or step sequencer you can do crazy pitch bending and vibrato effects. You just need patience and some experimentation with placement to get the most out of this pedal.

If you or anyone else is interested... here's a Delay Taste Test i did of 14 delays (including Supa Puss). Take away what you will from it. Obviously settings, amp, guitar, modulation, etc.....

Again, this was just for fun and really isn't a true representation but i still think there are things to take away from it. Some are not fair at all like the Binson... settings were not right at all, it was my old Binson and not my new one, etc etc.

Haven't messed with the Supa Puss myself, so please this with a grain of salt. I just think it's in the same price range as a lot of other delays peds that just seem a lot more exciting

ES-2: It's the shit, it gets overlooked a lot it seems.
EHX Memory Boy Deluxe: Lacks serious delay time, but otherwhise it beats the SP as far as the features:price ratio goes imo.
Delaylab: Huge digital modeler instead of a compact analog one, so it's a shitty comparison. Still though, the analog modes sound convincing imo, and you get so many other sweet tricks for conciderably less than what a Supa Puss costs. In that league I'd also check the mm w/ hazarai, disaster transport, obscura,...instead of the SP. But thats just me

I regret selling my Supa Puss now. It was actually quite good.
I had a v1 that had to go back for the volume fix, Dunlop were actually really good about it.
My main beef with it was it couldn't handle being smashed with a dirty signal that was much greater than unity volume and on cleans it didn't play nice with my hot pickups. Would click on repeats and piss me off.
At lower volumes though, very nice and those trail timing options were sweet as. Also tap tempo could get really slow, nasty and degraded if you pushed the clock past what the chip could handle.
