the van amps sole mate jr
small pedal board stomp with comtrols for volume and depth
remote mod spring tank...say attach under your board, cables not too long but that's an easy fix.
other pic shows them lovely's open for manipulation

side note. was curious why footsteps/stagevibration/etc never affected springs in combo amps. the springs are actually suspended by other springs, further isolating them from the environment. neat.

The reverb from my pitchfactor into the second voice is pretty mean.

So I went nuts the other day and stacked the spring reverbs....there's a point where the reverb is just what it is. So..i added a delay pedal inbetween each spring reverb and that was some coooooool shit. I was just dickin around, but i can see how doing that and playing some modulation in the signal chain could get really cool, really fast. specially if i use a stereo phaser and split the signal between two amps with spring reberb for some cavernous stereo. :joy: gonna do it and try to record that shit cause I know its going to sound colossal.

Im seriously GASing for one of these now. Do they go deep? From the demos I have seen it might not seem so?

It goes deeper than the stock spring reverb on my vox ac15. it also keeps definition longer, even in the depths transients still retain harmonic content. its a much nice reverb tank than the accutronics in my fenders. Among all the spring reverb I own, only my mid 60s fender tube reverb unit, and mid 60s blackface princeton reverb best it. soooo, only tubed reverb sounds better and has longer reverb tails. but that's a tough nut to crack.

Only negative is that i ordered the all in one sole-mate and they sent me the sole-mate jr. which splits the controls and makes it more pedal board friendly. ie. the reverb tank has really nice reinforced holes on all four corners to attach to the underside of your board with the control unit up on top. The more i thought about it, the more I like the idea of a split unit. I dont use a pedal board but this gives me a second reverb tank to hook up to my knas moisturizer for one, and it gives easy access to the springs for noisy fun.

If i didn't already have the external fender tubed reverb unit, I'd buy the original sole-mate for my vintage amp that are without reverb. but that's just me.

Thanks for the info!

Is it audible if you kick it or stomp on the ground next to it?

the actual spring tray is suspended by four smaller springs that attach to the "tank". on a suspended wooden floor i jumped around it and nothing. kick it an sure. that's one of the positives for me  with the knas moisturizer now i've got a "tank" to manipulate as well for further sonic mayhem :excellent:

edit: the four corners have holes with brass inserts for attaching to a board. on the "board" side the brass is surrounded by some thick rubber. so when the tank is sitting on the ground, its actually sitting on those rubber...feet. so that probably adds to the isolation from floor vibration.

I love stacking my amp reverb (kind of an ambient sound) with my Eterna.
