Is the empress that black beauty with alot of knobs up top? does it really stack up to the mooger, or does it have some feature that is unique to it making it worthwhile?

The Catalinbread Belle Epoch is really nice.
I'd call it an "Echo" pedal for sure.

I Sold The Z after getting my M. I will post a soundfile tomorrow. If you use midi, you want The 104M.

Empress... the black sd is the vintage modified one.
It's really awesome, especially the reverse delay.

So many options. Had mine for a year and still find new sounds.
Plus, it pairs great with the RV-3 for ultimate washy delay.

The RV-3 has a unique quality I haven't found in any other verb. Plus it stacks really well with dirt pedals IMO, probably because of the tone knob. Mode 10

I think i'm the only person who hated his RV-3

very digital and unpleasant sounding to me with a heavily pronounced digital lag with shorter notes

currently I own a custom Belton long-brick reverb that is basically like a deluxe Rub-a-Dub but deeper, with EQ and able of dirt and oscillation... it reminds me of how people talk about their Ghost Echoes - natural sound full of character that just sounds so good all the time

a couple of my synth gear operates on midi only. i use old vintage synths and cv/gate is the way for me, and i don't mind a little drift.

haha, i can totally understand that. It doesn't sound 'natural' at all, which is probably why i like it so much
i use it pre-dirt running into the ss/bs Mini (bias rolled back) so the digital artifacts get obscured with crackle

I've never even seen that one in person (i mean not even the RI), so no dice

I've only heard good things about those, so I presume that's a tough comparison for every reverb
