And I don't know anything about the MIJ Tele pickups, could be good to go. I only know that the MIJ Jazzy pickups aren't true JM pickups by design and sound fairly shitty from those I've tried.

Yeah, I forgot where I had first seen the link to special models coming out of Japan and thinking "Damn, why aren't those available over here?" I've got a stock 2000 '52 AVRI that I can compare pickups to so we'll see.

That white Jazzy looks HAWT! If any of those were still available, I woulda had a tough time choosing between that and the Tele. Will be seeing MBV in New York tomorrow night so I'm sure to have offset GAS by Tuesday

Well, the Tele has some good points, but I'm really frustrated with the Jaguar bridge on this thing. The grub screws in the saddles are a sloppy fit and rattle. I know the easy solution is to get a Mastery bridge and be done with it, but I'm not sure I wanna go that route.

The Mastery is costly but a HUGE improvement on my JM, immediately noticeable. Beyond fixing all the common offset bridge complaints, those fatter bridge posts mate with the body thimbles for a tighter fit. No rattle or movement and the resonance is so much better. I was stunned at the difference it made. Only issue I've had is it can lower itself over time and needs to be adjusted on occasion.

The Staytrem bridge is another great option and less expensive. Haven't tried the standard offset version but I use and love the wider Bass VI model.

It's a Custom Shop '58RI, got it in a massive trade earlier this year. I love that guitar but the stock bridge sucked.

Yep, radius is 7.25". So is my Tele and my CS Bass VI. Always thought I preferred a flatter radius but I gotta admit the 7.25" has grown on me over the years, just took a little getting used to. My JM is a pretty rare bird, maple fretboard with gloss finish removed from back of the neck, matching headstock, and a really light relic, Closet Classic-style, just perfectly broken in. I haven't seen another quite like it.

Dang, yo! what a looker!

one thing i did w/ my mastery per Woody's instruction was a few drips of blue Loc-Tite - no more drop! I've heard the purple loc-tite is a bit easier to work with when want to move it later, but it's nearly impossible to find.
