It might be my favorite normal-ish fuzz on earth. It's base tone is really thick and full, but can get sizzly too. Sounds fantastic on bass, no clean blend needed.
And then it has a switchable octave-up octavia thingy so you can get your Hendrix on. But it's good for more than just that, it can get really scrambly and warbly with the octave up when you play chords and double stops.
It's the balls.

^^^ Yeah, what BCBC said. The base fuzz is kinda Muff'ish, but tighter, and the octave up rips super, super hard. Creepy Fingers makes a great one too. I have a 4 knobber from CF that has a starve control for added lower gain goodness. Killer fuzz.

The Dano French Toast fuzz is a straight up FTM clone if memory serves. (Right?) Good way to test out the idea on the cheaps if you can find one.

This!

...and that!
and it handles chords better than any other analog octave up I've ever heard. One of my favorite fuzzers no doubt.

Not even being knee-jerk anti-blend all the time hero here, but a clean blend would really fuck with the glory of the Tone Machine.
