Not had a chance to try them, but that Pigtronix Bass Envelope Phaser and the Subdecay Proteus are the two at the top of my list.

Oh is it basically the same thing? I figured since it had a different name the Wonderlove was quite different. Dumb old me!

I tried the MXR Bass Envelope Filter at banjo center and thought it was a useless piece of garbage, it may work for you though. I'm just saying, try before you buy. I'm surprised the Moog MF-101 has not been mentioned. Its kind of the opposite from the XGD. MF-101= dark tone with some grit, XGD= bright and clean. Both pedals are awesome!

Standard Xerograph is a static low pass filter with expression control.

Same with the MF-101 and XGD, you don't have to use the envelope section ;) and the MF-101 has even more cv inputs than the XGD.
