That video is awesome. The kid makes great use of space and silence in the composition.

The AB-Synth is amazing. Let us know how the oscillation sounds with synths!

the kid sounds like he's covering some early Zappa

seriously

(fyi i LOVE Zappa)

and hey, please... demo it later :) i'd personally probably choose the Algal Bloom, because I feel like that's much more in my comfort zone and starting with modular synth rig like that (not in the true meaning) would be enough exposure for me

Shit I just realized you are asking for fuzzhugger not just fuzz. I know nothing of the filter you speak of. Prob. Not. Atone is a strange modulated fuzz. You can make the fuzz "breath"

Ahh, man...so I need to look for FuzzHugger questions outside of my forum! Wish I would've read this before now.
goroth wrote:Hit up Tom to make sure the impedance of your keyed music making device.
Yeah. Especially since the AB-Synth's oscillation is tuned/designed specifically for passive magnetic guitar pickups.

The big question here--other than will it make my fuzz go brittle?--is will it make any cool oscillation at all? I can't answer that really, without trying it myself...and whatever the change/effect, will it be a good one? That's subjective, but I don't think it'd be better than on guitar.

Posting this might scare off some people, but I'm not gonna say my pedals work great with guitar, synths, digiderdoo, ocarina! It depends on gear and tastes. I usually don't suggest my pedals for synths, or for active pickups, or with anything buffered going in front of them. I've heard success stories (and fails) from users, depending on gear and tastes. Anyone's totally welcome to try any FuzzHugger with anything, returns are no problem, and I'm here to help! But I've gotta err on the realistic side.

Behndy--hoping you enjoy, but of course, a return is no problem if it doesn't work out.
goroth wrote:I'm going to ignore my own advice and say Arc Flash. Haven't played a keyboard since I was 10 years old, but the Arc Flash sounds the same after a buffer or direct after the guitar, which bodes well on the keyboard compatibility front, and it does everything from slight grindy boost to who-dipped-my-balls-in-an-electrolytic-solution-and-connected-the-car-battery. And the new finish is super. Just buy one and if you don't like it I'll buy it off you, for more than you paid for it.
:!!!:  Thank you!!

i've had great luck w/ mostly all pedals on synths. can't think of any that didn't jive right. maybe not exactly 100% to what it would sound like on guitar. i dunno.

its DRUM MACHINES where some pedals usually crap out. i think it is the high energy of the drum sounds (BOOMs & BAPs) that the pedal usually cannot handle properly. but still have only come across this a handful of times.

yah. sometimes an actual drum line doesn't do much, but a strung together hi hat line will?

i like turning something steady into a distorted drone wall. YUMMY.
