I was thinking Hawaiian shirt tacky, which might have worked better on a solid color. This would push on that sort of edge, too, but I think also too far:
I'm not sure I could really do anything more exotic than pearloid or red tort without pushing too far into nausea land on the sunburst.

Ahh, I get what yer saying. The second pick guard would be better suited either way I think.
