But its great! Does a large range of preset "room sizes" :thumb: , REVERSE reverb :yay:, can be used as a delay unit  , low and high eq settings  , stereo input and output with level controls :animal: , a mix knob :!!!: , and of course a defeat switch! :hello:

It's also very shallow (about 2 inches deep) and lives in the back of my head when I'm using it for guitar.

They seem to go for about 100 these days.

Yeah, if you're open to it, there's a whole bunch of rad rackmount verbs that go for fairly cheap.

Reverb is either an on or off thing for me. I either want a really dry, earthy sound or I want icy, washed out bliss. Is the infinite/freeze feature on the EHX Cathedral worth a shit?

I haven't been that impressed with it, but maybe I just haven't spent enough time dialing it in. I also dislike that you have to hold the switch down - I much prefer the Space's ability to switch INF/FRZ on and then move away from the pedal and do other things.

Yea, that was what I've heard. The EHX Freeze does latching, where you only have to hit the button once, right? It'd be cool to have, but I don't NEED it. It would have been nice to add to the Cathedral, given I might pick it up as a second verb.

Another vote for the Ghost Echo...simple, stackable, and stunning.

Yeah I'm gonna have to throw another Ghost Echo vote in there. Just an all around amazing verb, its just as its name implies; Haunting.

Well I do believe it will be the ghost echo. Too many awesome comments. Now who's got one they want to trade me? :)

Unfortunately mine is part of a Ghost Disaster. ;)

I just realized I have 4 verbs at the moment :yay:

The Freeze and the Superego both latch, and if I was picking one I'd definitely go for the Superego, just to have the option of a loop for mod/reverb to make the drone more natural (the EHX freeze effect sounds pretty grainy to me). You can also mod the Cathedral with a latching switch - there's a YT video on doing this - but I never felt compelled to go to the expense.

This was a question I was just recently asking myself as well. Had settled on the Hall of Fame, then this thread had me looking into the Ghost Echo. While the ghost echo does sound great and seems to handle dirt well, I am still going to have to roll with the Hall of Fame for the amount of options it has as well as the lower cost.

Another vote for the haunting ghost echo. It is my always on pedal - the secret to my sound. I love placing it before a fuzz and having it set very subtle, depth and dwell at 9 o clock and the attack at 11. Perfectly compliments the fuzz and creates a nice haze. I wish it could do infinite verb though or even longer decay.

How long of a decay would you guys say the Ghost Echo hits? I generally keep my Wedge set around 8 seconds. Man, if it were either smaller or quieter I wouldn't even be looking at other pedals. Some method for trails when switched off would be nice too, but there's no way to bypass it that way... :/ Oh well. At least I have more decay time than I'll ever need. :doom:

I've never tried maxing it out or running a really long decay, but I have practice tonight so I'll try it and report back.

You could also ask the bro himself in the EQD subform here. :thumb:
