At least it's a different color... Hell, Gibson rarely goes that far. Usually it's an engraved truss rod cover, piece of paper, and a few more g's.

new colour, neck binding and matching headstock are absolutely enough for me

This is surprising. I could totally understand if the run was gonna be massive but Troy said they were only needing around 200 bridges. With planning and advance notice, you'd think that quantity would be no problem.

There's probably more too it. Mastery could probably fill the order with ease at full price, but no corporation (Fender) is going to pay full price for a wholesale lot. Most likely the price fender wanted to pay wasn't profitable for Mastery. Things like that happen all the time, and Mastery wouldn't turn down a 20-30 thousand dollar order because they couldnt "produce enough in time" they probably would have worked overtime to fill it. But if Fender offered them 10 thousand with the same time constraints I could see Mastery declining the offer.

^ Truth. You brought up some great points there.
You'd think Mastery would be happy getting their stuff out there on a bigger scale but I'd imagine it's bad business dealing with the numbers Fender throws out when purchasing hardware in large quantities.
