Yeah, the Eventide stuff is the top of that game. Not sure I need all that functionality.
I borrowed jrmy's Rainbow Machine a while back and loved the way it sounded, but IDK if it really does what I want.
I'm intrigued by analog harmonizing even though it doesn't seem to be as flexible as digital.

Or nearly as clean...and worse tracking. Gotta get both!

I really liked the Ring Thing. Perfect tracking and a lot more. I got rid of it but it was better than any Whammy I played.

Being able to switch between chords and the glitchy monophonic mode is awesome. It's not the most natural sounding pitchshifter (like bigchief said), but it is a hell of a lot of fun.

I prefer my M13 + expression pedal to all things my Whammy IV or PS-5 did. I had a HOG and a bandmate with a POG2. Hands down superior in the polyphonic category, but overall quite different in a lot of functions from something like a Whammy or Boss PS.

PumpkinPieces wrote: Rainbow Machine. It's pretty limited, and I only used 4th down and third up, but it sounded sexyyyy, especially when used in combo with a blue box.
I like that one too.
For octave and fifth i like the second voice.
For destroying 4th the harmony synth is tits.
And i'm not really into the digital sound of harmonizing - at least what i've heard and tryied until today...

Whammy 5 has the best tracking for monophonic or polyphonic styles. There's a slight treble roll off when the pedal is engaged, but it's not severe.

I have a Whammy4 and a HR-2. Both fun in different ways. Love the HR-2 though. I used to have a PS-5, and it was shite. HR-2 creams it. The Pitchfactor looks fun, but £400? U mad bro?!
