Feels smoother. I had it laying around from a parts guitar and the main reason it was used is because it's far easier to properly set spring tension when you have the trem lock equipped unit. You can fine tune spring tension verifying along way whether it's too tight or just right to engage the lock.

Yeah. The stock one is kind of okay but I like my Squier Jay Mascis Jazzmaster's better. It feels smoother. Also the arm locks in place tighter.

Yeah, I didn't use the top of the line US AVRI trem unit, just the MIM/MIJ style and it was a nice improvement.

I think I would rather kill myself than have to set that up.

Wow, that's nuts! Probably like a $10,000 CS one-off or extremely ltd run. Setup would suck in theory but that CS stuff practically sets itself up and is so super stable, really well made and obviously should be for the price Fender charges! Looks like it would be heavy as balls tho, just miserable to stand and play.

There's a crazy boutique guitar store near my dads house that had one of these, it looked insane.
Don't think it's there anymore, though.

28", had it set up in drop a with bass vi strings for a while. It was too much, went back to baritone strings. Felt like a huge poser.
