I really like TSs - on their own they are ok, but stacking them into stuff is great (for the reasons Brian mentioned). That's why I like The Elements so much - the mid control is actually pre gain, so if you crank it it's like stacking a TS or something into your distortion. And it has a bass cut switch. Hmm... was this thread about the Elements? Can't remember now.

MI Audio Super Blues Pro is my recommendation. Had one, twas good.

Haha yes! It was a Ruby, though. It was also fucking sweet on bass, though. Dem clanky tones.

Yah, Can't go wrong with this pedal. The vintage/modern switch is really nice to have.

I went with the JHS 808. It should be here in a couple of days and I'll report back with how it compares to me old modified ts-9.
