I was hoping for more first hand experience, haha. Jared I know has one and loves it. Any body have/heard of any issues with them? How are the pups?

Is that a newer one or an old one? Only issue I had was the nut broke around the high e string during a show once, which led me to a pricey repair and re-set up, but it was worth it since most 70s crestwoods go for around what I paid altogether (buying guitar + repairs). My pickups are loud, balanced, nothing too muddy or trebly about them. It's difficult to get a clean tone with this guitar to say the least.

Well good, cause it now resides in my house! Pretty beefy neck without much relief from high to low, like a ric. I had to do some light repairs. Jack was loose, connections broken, and the action way too high. Love how easy these epi/gibsons are to adjust. It has coil tap/split volume controls for both pups too!

It's one of the newer ones, Jared. First guitar I've owned where the bridge pup doesn't sound like ish. Now that I have several diff pup style guitars I can more thoroughly test my designs, woohoo!

I have one of the Wilshire reissues and it's soooo goood. It's a good deal even for the $400 I paid, $200 is incredible. Get it.

EDIT: note to self: actually read thread

Oh god, that's a gorgeous color. If you hate the way it sounds take a cheese grater to it, scrape off all the paint, get nude, and roll around in it.

Whootwhoot! Thanks guys, I like it a lot so far. It's the only guitar I've used since getting it. The fret spacing or something is diff than what I'm used to so some of my chords are sloppy, but they are anyway so it's all :joy:

 I haven't had a chance to get new strings on it yet, so until then, grimy it shall remain.
