I'd be all over that Jag in Sherwood Green.

Sounds like Fender may be having paint issues these days. This past year I had to send back 2 black EJ strats with paint issues. The lining of the cases was actually sinking into the paint. I returned them for refunds rather than having them repaired/refinished. I think the paint would've been covered under warranty, but it wasn't worth the trouble on a brand-new axe. I wonder if Fender will repaint the Marr Jags while under warranty? Kind of a shame.....I've really been wanting to check out a white one. The metallic one doesn't do it for mecheesecats wrote:is yours starting to flake or chip? i've read that there are problems with white. i have a mko and no signs of trouble yet.Psyre wrote:omg if they come out with a sherwood marr jag I will be pretty bummed. However, with the finishes they used on the Oly white, mine will probably need a refin in 10 years
i think marr had a couple of custom paint jobs done, including the green, for his current tour. don't think they will issue production models, but who knows.
it's not pre cbs - just a run of the mill post-66 jag. I found a few quotes stating it to be a '63, which is totally false due to the blocks+binding neck and meatball tort guard.fiddelerselbow wrote:Moustache_Bash wrote:Block inlays, and tort pickguard is.....kinda custom, maybe?
Yeah I guess! I remember somebody mentioning it was pre cbs or something. It'd be really cool to see him get one.
It's honestly almost like they painted them to relic quick. Seems almost inspired by the white Jag he used in The Cribs and Modest Mouse which is what it is based on afterall. "Now even faster relic times!"Butch1970 wrote:Sounds like Fender may be having paint issues these days. This past year I had to send back 2 black EJ strats with paint issues.
