Exactly, that's the part I'm most interested in really, more so than the sustaining bit.
I have a Philosopher King at the moment which does the sustain sucking bit and some (gated) fuzz pedals are quite good at it too but it still doesn't quite have the right feel for me.

just watched the philosophers king demo
i thought it was just a deluxe phil.tone
didnt know bout all that tremelo and slow gear type stuff
i keep the phil.tone sustain maxed
and itllhold for days
and eq'd right with the grit
you can dial in your feedback exactly as you want it
and it dont feel like your using an effect

Funny, I forgot to mention it but I also have that one (I'm selling it actually), it does those short decay sounds too indeed, as with all digital Electro Harmonix effects I tried so far I just don't love the way it sounds.

Traveling thru North Carolina today and I convinced the fam to wait around while my brother and I toured the moog factory in Asheville. The tour guide demoed the guitar and it seemed pretty fun, but when I asked him about it after the tour he said the only one left for purchase is a red one with a custom body shape for $4250 (!) didn't ask to see it as I definitely wouldn't be purchasing, but he said it was one of only 10 customs made.
