[Gone Fission]

The LED mod is awesome, no regrets at all. Still gets some decent dirt at higher gain without the boost activated (and more with), but it doesn't have that trashy fuzzy sort of quality it has stock. More in the vein of an old tube amp. Also, as usually happens when you eliminate diode clipping, it adds a lot of volume. A lot. I was a little worried that it might lose some of that sound it had at low gain before the mod, but not at all so far as my ears tell me.

yeah that gain was just too much
and for some reason
all my dirt sounded the same before
now they sound like their suppose too
is that because of the leds
everything goes through them always right?
i saw somewhere else someone installed a diodes out switch
i dont got the chops or patience or steady hands for that
but it would be cool to see it done
i dont think id ever use them again
so im happy too

Google's gonna suspend that Plus account on suspicion that the name is a nym. (No shit? Why would they think that?) So anywho, the slide show will likely expire in four days. I'll try to figure out something else before it goes down forever.

[Edit: well, the execution of the slideshow appears to have been commuted. The lesson is that if you're trying to 'nym Google Plus you should use a 'nym that is a somewhat believable name. Accordingly, I have my next 'nym picked out: Dixon Ormus.]
