Really smooth and easy. As soon as I sent an inquiry to buy it, I was emailed by an employee within the hour (this was 1am eastern time, so they were probably open...) and the guitar was taken off the site so no one else could buy it. They let me know I'd be getting an email with a final price guitar+shipping and that in order to get a paypal invoice I would have to confirm the price and email them my paypal address. That email came the next morning, I sent my paypal, they confirmed that they received it and let me know the guitar was at another one of their locations and it would be shipped to them, inspected, and then sent to me. I then received a shipping notice and tracking info this past Sunday morning. Arrived Wednesday! :joy:

I think I clicked buy on the website on June 19th? Not bad at all, and all along the way they made sure to ask if I had any questions/concerns. Only hassle is the constantly changing yen/us dollar value. Either way beats the hell out of paying near a thousand for the same guitar in a different finish on ebay.

I've been having a lot of fun with my Supernatural reverb with this guy. Just need to find my allen wrenches, the only issue I have is a little fret buzz on the low E. There are only two blemishes on the entire guitar and I have a hard time finding them when I'm asked to point them out. My band mates are jealous, I think they're going to murder me. :erm:

If it weren't for terminal's purple burst! I was dumbfounded when I saw it in the used section. I didn't know there were 73 reissues, I had only read about 65s and 69s. (twss?) I typed in MG73 in the search and a bunch of comp stripe stangs came up. Saw this one, and it all my indecisiveness went away. By the way, they have some used Beck Mustangs (and just normal mustangs that are just like Beck's) for real cheap. If anyone is into that sorta thang. :poke:

Shipping/insurance was 14,000 yen. And yeah they have a bunch of sweet looking guitars.

This was my second choice:

This.

The matching headstock always sucks me in but the comp stripe always loses me. That green is sexy as fuck tho! What does Fender call that finish anyway? Only thing I've seen remotely close is that Jade Pearl Metallic...

Not as in "Loser" Beck but some sort of Japanese cultural figure of some manner I can't quite figure out. (Real musician or band? Fictional anime character? Not certain.) Which may still work for folks here, but worth pointing out.

As for the idea of putting on a Jag trem and Belinda-stang-ing it, I wouldn't mar such a beautiful guitar that way since it would require new surface routing and you'd have to figure what to do with the exiting 'stang trem routing (fill? cover?). If I really wanted that, I'd custom order a body that's routed right from the start.

On Ishibashi it was acronymed OTM, so I think it is Ocean Turquoise Metallic, I did a google search and got mustang basses, guitars, and the car in the same color.

Funny story, before I bought the Mustang was talking about it on Facebook with my bandmate, my Dad saw it and I had like two missed calls from him and he texted me "CALL ME ASAP". He ended up calling me when I was in Officemax getting ready to ship my SG and he said "Hey I have a 69 Mustang, in surf green blah blah" and I'm like "oh.....??" I knew he was pulling my leg. He kept going and then I realized what he though I was buying... "Dad, you know I'm buying a Mustang guitar, right?" He was going to get on a soapbox and lecture me about how getting a 69 mustang would put my car insurance through the roof.

Lol, I did not know about the Beck thing, I suck. Yeah, I typed too soon on that one, I found the whammy bar, and realized the vibrato on the stang is excellent enough as is. I got sort of paranoid/excited with people online talking about the mustang trems and what not. Jay Turser or whatever makes Stangs with Jag Trems anyways.

Beck is actually a pretty decent anime from memory. Been a few years since I watched though.

The Mustang vibrato has a lot more pitch range than a Jag or Jazzie, but the feel is still nice in the same way. Belew was big on the Mustang trem before the Kahler came out. And because of Brad Laner's use in Medicine, well, yes, I need one of each.

Congrats, that's a gorgeous Mustang. I really like the colour, kind of like the old Lake Placid Blue comp stangs that have greened over the years.
