Am i still allowed to hang out here if i admit i dont know what a buffer is??? When people talk about getting a buffer i just picture a young girl gargling my nuts around like in coneheads when beldar cleans the dudes spark plugs...

A generic explanation is that they retain the full range of frequencies over long cable runs, keeps the high end present... True Bypass pedals and long cable runs have high end roll off, buffers help keep it sparkly and mo betta...

i also use the little SonicGold FX buffer at the end of my looper circuit...i found that it definitely cleans up the sound a bit even though i have two Boss equalizers in the chain (one after each looper).
