I laughed really hard at white belt grind. Their S/T was amazing, Hell Songs was basically an entire year of my life, and honestly Canada Songs is just...not that good.

I just played with Loma Prieta, they are really dull live in my opinion but I'm kinda over the scene, so my opinion is shite. I did see Daughters with the Locust and Cattle Decapatation in DC way before the self-titled so it was all Canada and Hell. They definitely had a lot of exchanges with the crowd, who did love them, but said the dumb shit people say and going city-to-city, people probably say the same shit.

Lex kept saying, "Say something clever" They did a great job and I think the s/t was an awesome album...a little over-compressed, but I did enjoy the direction they took it. I really wanna see them play it, but no way I'll make it. I don't think they'll do anything after this, they broke up because of the last album, from what I've read. Creative differences.

Like Aids Wolf and Arab on Radar though, you sometimes must call it a day and try something different. Even if it's the same basic thing.

That's pretty funny. Loma is one of my friend's favorite bands, and whenever he has it on, I always give him shit for it. I'll ask "Which Converge album is this again?".

I've just gotten into Loma Prieta. I dig them a lot but I think their album Last City is loads better than their other stuff.

I don't think they are terrible but I never understand rehatching old stuff. Like most hxc and youth crew scenes...and poppunk. It's as if people wanna refuse the future. It creates very conservative people.

I was flattered that they said we were the best band they saw their entire tour...and it seemed genuine since they approached me to say that.

Man I couldn't agree more. Pretty much impossible for me to truly appreciate Canada Songs as I started with Hell Songs and I'd already been listening to the Locust for years by then. Canada Songs just couldn't compare. In contrast, Hell Songs is a straight up masterpiece. Hit like a motherfucker live too and those dudes played it flawlessly. What a show....

The first song I heard from them was Daughters Spelled Wrong and I was immediately hooked. First album I found was their s/t though. It's prolly still my favorite from them.

Yeah, my heavy upbringing of Locust made Canada Songs kinda a nonstarter. But, yes, Hell Songs. Yes. Forever yes.
