Schlatte is amazing

i've now dealt with him on several occasions, i'll be receiving two new pedals from him (that makes three of his pedals on my pedalboard) and even though we've encountered some technical difficulties, he was always very nice to me
Always got a fast and informative response from Ryan
Mike from MadeByMike is also great to deal with

Skully aka Dirge is mad cool to work with. He'll source those dope mojo parts for your custom build.
DannDubblewe does amazing work and is super easy to communicate with.
Noise... at Noisemaker repaired a pedal that I got used, no problem.
And, of course, Thomas will make you some jank.

Hey guys. I'm kinda new to the forum and starting to get involved now because of the awesome builders here and threads like this.
Ryan and Tanya rock! It's how I found the forum actually. I've talked to Ryan several times and he really is the nicest guy, answers EVERY email pretty damn quickly, and takes customer appreciation to the next level. He makes nobodys like me feel as important as some dealer placing a huge order. I had a footswitch go out on my Tremolessence and the pedal was back in my hands within two weeks. Boston to Alberta and back, I don't know how he even had time to work on it.
The guys at Earthquaker were super fast with a repair too. I've also had good experiences with Brian from Subdecay and Nicolas from Catalinbread. Oh and Paul C is hella nice too!!
As far as the hosted builders here go, after reading their pages I feel I probably can't go wrong with any of them and now need a shit-ton of $ to give them.
I haven't gotten to deal with some of the newer guys yet, or the members here that do custom work, but I love reading about it and appreciate it! Thanks!!:thumb:

I haven't had much interaction personally with builders but the ones I have, have went smoothly and awesome.
I had skullservant cook me up a gloom drive with a momentary switch in the infancy of my membership and it was perfect and is still a proud member of my arsenal of fuzz.
I just recently had Officer Bukowski build me a 1.5 tonebender (I think) and it's great and currently on the board.
Then, as many have mentioned Ryan is just a great guy who has done many nice things for me and makes some of my favorite pedals ever.
I think that's it.

Josh @ Malekko and Nic @ Catlinbread are classy dudes. they deserve every ounce of success they get.
Aen is a mad enius and a great guy. Caught up with him briefly at NAMM this year.
Tom @ Digitech is the coolest dude ever. got to hang with him at NAMM a fair bit, and hes the best artist relations guy around. hooked my band up so fucking nicely last year.

Ryan @ Dr. Scientist, watch a youtube clip I made, said something seemed off, had me send it back and fixed it up
Tom @ fuzzhugger, gave me a discount and free kick thingy that you put on the knobs, I didn't ask for anything either
Catalinbread has been good about repairs.
V @ Shoe pedals is good too, not that I own one (yet), but he had a tourbox, and thats the way to trust strangers
Blake @ blakemore, nice guy, I like the deus ex machina fuzz, pleasant transactions
Hmmm that's all I can think of right now

John Fromel.
A year ago when I was still really green, he answered all of my questions about the Shape EQ with great patience.
Decided to get the Amp Candy version with the

Audrey graphics that can be seen atop my DMM in the Pedalboard thread.
The particular unit I chose was a 1-off and somewhat of the prototype, as it turned out.
A week later, a tyvec USPS envelope arrived stinking like it had been soaked in some fruity coffee drink; with ARRIVED DAMAGED written across it.
Opened it up to discover someone spilled a disgusting beverage causing
everything to emanate this nauseating, pervasive stench...
...on top of being the wrong version of the pedal.
I contacted John and he was very helpful, I showed him photos and explained things...and in doing so learned that the wrong product was picked due to the guy in his shipping dept.
So me being the smooth operator that I am,

kind of casually trashed his shipping guy and said "it didn't look good for him", insofar as to who was responsible for the rancid fruity cocoa stink...on top of shipping the pedal in an envelope (at that time everything I'd received was sent in boxes).
Turns out the envelope was standard procedure for them, and numerous other builders...who I have since patronized.
Anyway, we quickly got to the bottom of the handling mishap and it clearly happened in transit. Some carrier's fault.
John had me ship the stinking disappointment back to him, and he took the reigns in advancing the claim, and responsibility, himself; and I didn't have to deal with USPS and the red tape. Days later, the right unit arrived without incident. I was fully expecting my unit to be gone, sent to someone else by mistake. So it began with an unpleasant surprise and ended with a pleasant one, or rather began with a bad stench and ended with a good taste...and great sound
Not only is the pedal a work of art, both functionally and aesthetically; the whole experience left me wanting to sing this man's praises.
The guy is a straight-up class act, and one of those rare creators who blurs the line between artist and tradesman.
I intend on giving him more business, as his rehousing jobs are also the stuff of folklore.

Here's my shortlist:
Nick @ Dunwich: Built me my custom head and far exceeded my expectations both audibly and visually, all while keeping me up to date by the moment through out the entire build. He's also built me a few different pedals and I've never had a single issue with anything.
Skully @ Dirge: The dude hooked me up with a gloomidrive for helping him with his guitar, and has been the source of alot of great trades, as well as just being a totally awesome broski.
Ryan @ Dr. Sci: Totally top notch dude that responds quick as shit to emails and is always willing to help you through any problems, as well as making the best damn distortion pedal evah!
Jamie @ Earthquaker: I've had him do a couple of repairs over the years and every time has been faster then the wind and completely helpful.
Mark @ Bat: I've had a complete custom pedal built by him as well as had him do a couple repairs and his communication and speed are fantastic.
Ben @ Verellen: Had my brand new big spider arrive not working when plugged into a power supply, sent him some pictures and he identified the problem as well as told me exactly how to fix it within only a couple hours of its arrival. Then I bought a skyhammer pre second hand and it had a broken off power switch, so he sent me a brand new one to solder in myself free of charge, he even covered shipping! Nothing but praise for that man.
There's probably more I forgot, if I remember I will definitely post em up.
