I also set the "expensive" bar at $300-ish
Worth it:
Moog stuff
Strymon Timeline
DMM
Cosmichorus
Blackout Twosome
Subdecay DLX pedals
Disaster Transport SR (haven't tried it, but judging from demos there's no way it could disappoint)

dubkitty wrote:"high price" is too ambiguous. for me $200 is a lot for a fuzz, but not for a multi-functional delay or a complicated filter 'n' LFO dealie.
that made me add poly-grace to my list.

Cosmichorus
Moog Ring Mod
HEXE Revolver
Digitech XP1000
They're all the things that I freaked out about buying because of $$$ but have never even thought about selling because they're good enough to justify the price tag.

It seems the agreed upon threshold is >$300. In that case, I have owned two, an el cap and a Quasar DLX. I have since sold both. The Quasar though, definitely some amazing stuff. Its fantastic. I would love to own another.
It's weird because most of the pedals I've kept the longest I got sub $125. And sub $150 covers my entire board save for one pedal (supa puss, another great pedal!).

Hartman Flanger (Gish in a box)

maybe the doublefuzz box like Hoof Reaper, the Coven, Twosome (I prefer FFM threesomes...). I desperatly need a Hoof Reaper, but I'm so in love with my tone reaper, I can't sell him.
I think the Disaster Transport SR is too overpriced.
Maybe the semaphore tap tempo tremolo, but I don't like spend soo much money in a tremolo, 60 $ or euros for any pulsar version are worth for me.

If we're using 300 dollars as the threshold, here's all of the things I've bought over 300 bucks:
Devi Improbability Drive
Digitech XP1000
EHX HOG
Empress Superdelay
BJFE Blueberry
Strymon Mobius
Frostwave Sonic Alienator
The Mobius and the XP1000 are the only ones I still have. The Superdelay was awesome, but if I needed a delay with that many features, I'd just get a Timeline. The HOG would be worth it if you could really find a use for all of those functions.
If we drop the threshold to 250, I would have to add a bunch more stuff, like all of the Moogers, my dual Dwarfcraft, the Hexe Bitcrusher, my custom Dubscope, I think my Bass Micro Synth was right around 250. Lots of good stuff in that 250-300 range.
