i read the whole thing! thanks for posting that. i've wanted an FP for a long time but never was able to get one. what about future (non-FP) plans? weren't you going to possibly release some new designs & get back in the building game?

i hadnt picked up my guitar yet
back in 2008
so i never had the pleasure
of gassing for a pp fingerprint
but i did go from a decent job in nyc
to chasing work all over the country
and two winters without a nail to pound in
it was a dark time
bootstraps blahblahblah
im just happy you opened the garage again
im sure theres a soldering iron in there
that was yearning for some hot attention

No, you're awesome

Thanks for the explanation, that really does make the whole saga make sense. I'm excited to see your new stuff and I hope things are getting better for you
I was kinda beginning to think the circuit was cursed. You went under, then secret seasons went under. I was starting to think that was the price you paid for making the gold-standard of shoegazey fuzz pedals

Good read, thanks... now... I came late to the party and only got a Fingerprint clone because of the Secret Santa here on this forum... a member built and handpainted it for me

not knowing anything about ti, i plugged it in... now, five months later, I still love it and it's a great fuzz pedal and a great thing to own... plus it was a gift

but all in all - the sound is great and it's no surprise everyone wants a piece of that delicious cake... But the thing about Laura is unfortunate and i can see the disenchantment for sure

HA HA PP, PEE PEE. NOW YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE SHAME OF BEING REFERED TO AS NITROGEN EXCREMENT!
Nah but really, informative read. I've never thought of the "boutique cliche."

It's right up there with Radioheaditus, where a popular band starts using your pedals and the company goes under after you can't keep up with the demand. See; Lovetone.
Right, I should probably say that the fate of Lovetone as I've described above is entirely guesswork and the fanciful wanderings of an idle mind. I have no idea if that's actually what happened to that company.

The first post I have ever read from a musician/company/man that completely explained and owned up to everything.
Glad to see you made it through and back. Excited for 2013

i had always wondered about the fuzzprint story; i saw the reissue, but wasn't really playing guitar or hanging out around here during the original run. interesting story in a lot of ways. glad you typed it out, that sounds like an overall tough but cool experience. or cool to read. keep rockin out
