Well to show you tat there's hope for this kid, yet:
My brother in law, who has Asperger's Syndrome, is the sweetest kid ever. He gets obsessed with things. When my wife and I were dating, it was cars, now it's metal. You name a band, he can tell you the members, what they play, even what label they're on.
Now all this modern "core" shit that he's into, that's not my scene. I smile, nod my head and listen we he plays me song after song.
But yesterday...
He asks me if I've ever heard of My Bloody Valentine.
I tell him, yeah, they're one of favorite bands.
He tells me, and I'm quoting, "Loveless is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard."
Yeah, this kid's gonna be alright.
