The nice thing about these is you should be able to try it out first.
I'd go a different route personally but it sounds like this could work well for what you want it to do. :thumb:

Is the Eminence Legend a good speaker?

I tried it out about two times and I really liked it. All I need for is for small gigs. My 15 watt Princeton Reverb is too fucking loud for a 15 watt.

I'm not sure that the Excelsior will be quieter than your Princeton. 13w isn't appreciably quieter than 15w, and that 15" speaker will be pushing a lot more air than the 10". I tried to look up the speaker sensitivity to compare them, but Fender hasn't printed that information in the manual or anything. I don't know enough about input impedance, but maybe the mic or accordian input will attenuate your signal a little? The manual says Guitar 1MΩ, Mic 200kΩ, Accordian 50kΩ. Maybe someone smarter than me can help out with that.

I did however learn that you can use simultaneous inputs, I wonder if you can jumper them for Hott Lixx?

I've got a Pawn Shop Excelsior and absolutely love it. I still haven't really decided if I like it overdriven all that much but I've read a lot of complaints about it in other forums. Most people claim that changing out the cheap import tubes for quality tubes solves 90% of the issues and make the overdrive sound much much better. Definitely a mod that I've been planning when I have the time and money.

What I can say for sure is that it sounds great clean and it LOVES effects. When playing alone or with a few friends I tend to keep it between 1/8 and 1/4 volume with a few pedals out front (loving a combination of the EQD Hoof and Ghost Echo, a Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom, a Boss OC-3, and a Malekko Lofi 616). And in my opinion, you cannot beat this amp for looks.

Also the only difference I see between the Pawn Shop and the Pro is the speaker and the colours.

I did read somewhere that you can use a jumper cable. I'm not use it for loud gigs putting it in overdrive. Just clean.

Cool. That's good to know. I just need it for clean sounds only, i got a overdrive/fuzz pedals for that. I like keeping my amps stock because that way if I don't like it, i can easily sell it.

theres one at the shop i sometimes work at. it sounds huge. and good. its cheap as fuck too, its almost stupid not to pick one up. it would be great for modding.

you can get better tonal and overdriven qualities just by switching out V1.

Reeeeeeally like mine. Needed something small, loud, good with the peds. Does all that for me. 13 watts through 15 inches with 2 6v6s is gotta sound good....right? There's a clip on my youtube if you want an okayish interpretation of its sound. Loves delay/verb.

Thanks for the demo, Brotha. I use a lot of effects so its good know that effects work well with this amp. Tottaly getting one at my local guitar shop if they still have it.

I love mine as well. The sounds running a muff into it with the tone switch to treble is so cutting and huge and great. does anyone know the difference between the standard excelsior and the pro?

Color options and speaker upgrade I believe.
