I have the standard 616 and it's awesome. Now I'm looking at videos of the lo-fi and I want it, too

IDK MAN, sounds like a big ol ring modded turd to me... Flashback with custom patches is WAY better...

That's what I'm afraid of, lack of usefulness and the ringy feedbacks being annoying. Still interested in some new videos though

It really isn't as crazy as the PGS demo makes it seem. It can get crazy but all of the settings are useable.
The modulation can be turned off or down when you don't need it and the normal delay sounds awesome too.
My favorite thing about it, especially with Bass, is that the repeats don't pile up on each other and get muddy like with some other delays.
The Flashback is definitely more versatile but the Lo-Fi is perfect for me and seems like it would fit Bassboar's requirements nicely.

Right now the 616 LOFI and the Deluxe Pitch Pirate are leading the pack.

Why not both?

I've had both. The DPP can definitely get crazier than the 616 Lo-Fi but the 616 Lo-Fi keeps the lows more intact
and doesn't really change your core sound as much as the DPP. Both are great, I guess it just depends on what your after.
I've been using the 616 more with guitar lately (P.O. Box>Megalith>Lo-Fi>RRR) and I leave it on all the time.

CLOUDBUSTER is what you want and it's HUGE AND EXPENSIVE... Sounds like a Tape Machine On Fire though...
Let us know about the LOFI since MECs got a boner and all...

You're original post makes me think Lunar Echo all the way. The modulation is definitely the best part, and can definitely get pretty broken sounding. Also can sound a little lofi at times, but not unuseably so.
