If you like your amp Sound, get a hot plate. If you don't tame it too dramatically the Sounds stays pretty Good in my opinion.
The Thing mentioned earlier is just a Box to put in your serial effects Loop. It is a Master Volume. Stuff between amp and speaker is the Way to go.
Probably Check Out that Weber Mass stuff. I Never got my hands on One here in Europe though.

Another thing to consider...along with attenuators are speakers with different efficiency ratings...

Well as long as your not looking for fantastic gain what about a Tech 21 Trademark 60? Sounds good at whatever volume and if you really need to be quiet then you can just plug in some headphones. I used to have one and it's a nice amp.

An amp that is great loud and quiet seems to be the white whale we all are searching for.

The new Bogner Atma seems really cool, though obviously quite pricey and 18w is probably still not enough for the stage volume I so painfully love.

I love my tiny terror. It definately sounds better the louder you push it, but if you set the volume to nearly max and use the gain to control volume it can play nice at bedroomish levels too. Don't listen to the naysayers, it does take pedals nicely, at least imho. I play mine through a 2X12 and it handles lows pretty well for a low wattage tuber. But there is a huge difference between it' s low level tone and it full open tone, and noodling in you bedroom won't sound even close to the hugeness of a pushed tiny terror... but I suppose that is true for most low watt tube amps...
Just don't expect fender cleans and you won't be disappointed, cause if you like evil little amps this is the shit.

Yeah, I definitely still have tonal exploration to do with it. It sounds pretty nice through the 112 speaker on my little Marshall valvestate, since I don't have a dedicated cab yet. It'll be especially nice to use as my second amp for when I play shows. Dialing in the right tones to make my favorite dirt pedals sound right has been a bit tricky though.
